Mr. Smith has over 40 years experience in the insurance industry. His career started as an Automobile adjuster which led him into Automobile and Heavy Equipment Estimating. In 1986 Mr. Smith moved on to the Homeowners business handling the adjustment and damage appraising of homeowners claims to include casualty adjusting. Mr. Smith became property manager for a local Property and Casualty Company which specialized in Automobile, Homeowners and Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance. Mr. Smith was promoted to Assistant Claim manager overseeing the claim staff and a select group of Independent adjusters who handled claims throughout the State of Florida. His duties included managing the staff, supervision of all large losses, Arson claims, Appraisal files and Litigation files to include preparation for trial and to provide testimony on behalf of the company at trial. Mr. Smith ran the Catastrophe unit for Hurricane Andrew on behalf of the company. Mr. Smith worked briefly for Florida Insurance Guarantee Association as a Supervisor before partnering with Turse Clarke, Inc. as Vice President running the Miami office for this regional Independent Adjusting Company. Mr. Smith has extensive training and knowledge in both the Insurance Company Claims Department and the Independent Adjusting Company.
